What is Blockchain?
In the beginning “Blockchain” was a computer science term that means how the data was structure and share, but now days have a whole different meaning and destiny being even recognized as the “fifth evolution” of computing or even the missing trust layer of the Internet.
We can not talk about “Blockchain” if we do not bring an important year when this technology was brought to the world and that year is 2008, where Satoshi Nakamoto makes it resonate with Bitcoin. The main problem this technology is solving is the “double spending” problem that allows parties unknown to each other to transact digitized assets without the need for middlemen.
In its essence, Blockchain is a peer-to-peer distributed ledger technology that securely records immutably transactions between parties in blocks and provides a trusted, accountable, transparent environment where intermediaries validate and record transactions of data.
